Mitra

The Puranas describe time units from the infinitesimal truti, lasting 1/1,000,0000 of a second to a mahamantavara of 311 trillion years. Hindu sages describe time as cyclic, an endless procession of creation, preservation and dissolution. Mitra is a Vedic demigod who stood for the sun. After destruction of his own relm, Mitra came towards Earth relm and continue to protect the mortals. He is widely revered as the hand killer, a fighter character. It is said that he can't be killed by any mortal.
